Summer is just starting and the weather and water temperatures are perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The music festivals and fun activities are also in full swing, with new activities being added each year.

Here are the highlights of Umag events for June:

• Istrian Regatta (June 1 to 2): Sailing regatta with over 40 sailing boats gathering in Umag.
• Indirekt Music & Art Festival (June 5 to 8): Festival of independent art.
• Umag Night Run (June 8): Run beneath the stars on a 5 or 10 km course and experience a fantastic atmosphere and fun well into the late evening.
• International Oldtimer Rally (June 8): Exposition of classic cars.
• Komunela Fest (June 8): Folk festival.
• Staaari Rokeri - Oooold Rockers (June 13 to 16): Biggest and most visited motorcycle meetups in the region.
• Sea Folk Festival (June 20 to 23): International children's folklore festival.
• Zlatni lav - Golden Lion (June 21 to 30): streets and squares in Umag become the stage to the numerous theater fleets from Croatia, Slovenia, Italia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia.
